| Sadbhavana diwas celebrated | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Aug 20: Govt Degree College Nagrota today celebrated “Sadbhavana Diwas” under the patronage of Dr Attar Singh Kotwal, Principal of the college.
The programme began with a welcome address by Prof Anjali Mahajan HOD English GDC Nagrota. She apprised before the audience that his day is celebrated every year on the birth anversary of former Prime Minister of India Rajiv Gandhi and introduced all the dignitaries present in the function.
Dr Iqbal Quasim, the incharge of NSS unit was the resource person for the programme. While speaking on the occasion he emphasized on the importance of peace, national integration and communal harmony among all religions in the country and explained why this day is observed as “Harmony Day”
Prof Anjali Mahajan HOD English GDC Nagrota presented the vote of thanks and she also talked about the importance of sense of Nationalism in life. She formally thanked all the people present in the preogramme and said that these kinds of activities help the students in a long way.
