| GDC Bishnah organizes Punjabi learning course | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Aug 20: The Department of Punjabi, Government Degree College Bishnah has started an online add-on course titled “Learn Punjabi through popular experiences: songs poetry and folk literature.”
It is an institutional effort to provide an opportunity to learn communicative Punjabi through its literature to non-Punjabi speakers who are desirous of acquiring Punjabi as third and fourth language for academic and non-academic purposes.
This course aims to focus on communicative Punjabi. In addition, it also intends to introduce the learners to Punjabi literature including classical and modern poetry as well as folktales.
There were 90 registration for this course from India and other countries like America, Canada, United Kingdom, Pakistan. Many Researchers from different departments of Indian Universities also registered for this course. The 130 hours long course is free and no age bar or essential qualification required for this course but interested participants must know Hindi or Urdu.
The course was designed by Dr Randheer Kour, Assistant Professor who is also the faculty of the course. Dr Anuradha Pandoh, Principal Government Degree College Bishnah is programme chair of this online course.
