GDC Sidhra organizes inter-college activity

Jammu, Aug 20: NSS Unit of Govt. Degree College Sidhra organised an online intra- College activity in which students shared their thoughts on the theme of Communal Harmony and Pledge taking ceremony was organized in the College Campus on 20th August to celebrate ‘Sadbhavana Diwas’ 2021.The Program was organized under the able guidance of Principal Dr. Monika Sharma. The theme of “Sadbhavana Diwas” which is celebrated across the country every year, is to promote National Integration and Communal Harmony and spread the message of goodwill towards everyone and eschewing violence.
Speaking on the occasion Prof.Deepa Kak shared her thoughts on the relevance and importance of the day.NSS Volunteer Ms. Karsoom Akhter also threw some light on this day
The staff and students of the college took the Sadbhavana day Pledge to work for the emotional oneness and harmony of all the people of India regardless of Caste, Region, Religion or Language and to resolve all the differences through dialogue and constitutional means without resorting to violence. The program was organised by Dr. Mehmood Ahmed Program Officer NSS Unit GDC Sidhra, and coordinated by Prof. Deepa Kak and Dr. Satbir Kour members of NSS Unit GDC Sidhra.
