Srinagar, Aug 29: A Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) jawan was killed after he was hit by a train in the central Kashmir district of Badgam, official sources said.
They said a jawan identified as Mohammad Ismail Mir of 35 Batallion CRPF was deployed at a railway bridge on Srinagar-Badgam track at Humhama when he was hit by a train on Sunday. The injured was immediately rushed to hospital where he was declared brought dead.
Police has registered a case and initiated proceedings, they said.
