Kathua, Aug 29: ‘Bicycle for Change Club, Kathua’ organised a long ride of around 110kms Kms from Jarai Morh, Kathua to Gurdaspur via Amritsar toll plaza, on the eve of National Sports Day.
While addressing media, Sunil Sharma, President of BFCC said that National Sports Day is observed to encourage more people to participate in physical activities. It is celebrated across India to commemorate Major Dhyan Chand, widely known as the “Hockey Wizard" and “The Magician".
In today’s ride, our fellow cyclists namely Sunil Sharma, Narendra Singh, Rahul Sharma, Deep Sharma, Narinder Raina, Sumit Sambyal, Arun, and others participated with full enthusiasm. This cycle ride was organised by taking into consideration all prevalent SOPs of Covid-19.
Sunil Sharma further said that the main objective of celebrating this event was to aware masses about importance of sports activities.
