| Police recover illicit liquor, 1 accused arrested | | |  EARLY TIMES REPORT
UDHAMPUR, Aug 29: Continuing its drive against illicit liquor, Udhampur police recovered 50 litres of lahan and 4 litres of country made illicit liquor at village Patti, Balota Upperla under the jurisdiction of Police Station (PS) Basantgarh.
Acting on specific information regarding the manufacturing of illicit liquor, police team under the supervision of SDPO Ramnagar Dr Bhishm Dubey, headed by I/C PS Basantgarh PSI Tanvinder Singh assisted by ASI Bashir Ali along with other police team, conducted raids in the house of Kewal Kumar son of Hem Raj of Patti, Balota Upperla. During the raids, Police recovered 50 litres of illicit liquor and around 04 litres of desi prepared illicit liquor from his house. In this regard, a case FIR under section 32/2021 US 48(e) Excise Act has been registered at Basantgarh and investigation started by police. |
