2-day outreach programme concludes | | | Early Times Report
Rajouri, Aug 29: The 2-day integrated communication and outreach programme campaign launched by Field Outreach Bureau, Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Government of India, Rajouri in coordination with Govt. Degree College, R. S. Pura concluded today. A series of activities to inculcate the spirits of National Integration and Communal Harmony, Awareness generation about freedom fighters associated with freedom struggle and life history of Nationalist leaders were organised. A Bike Rally in collaboration with “Bull Rider’s Cafe” was flagged off by Hon’ble member DDC, Miran Sahib, Ms. Vidhya Mottan was the first activity organised by FOB, Rajouri on the culmination day of the Campaign. The Bikers chanting “Bharat Mata Ki Jai, Vande Matram” created environment of patriotism and people showed their full enthusiasm by waving their hands to boost the morale of Bikers. The vehicle fitted with Public address system was leading the bike rally in which patriotic songs were played was another centre of attraction of the Rally, Earlier while flagging off the Bike Rally, Ms. Vidhya Mottan welcomed the bikers and appreciated their ride to promote the concept of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav. She was accompanied by the Sarpanch of the area Shri Dev Raj Sharma and some other members of PRIs. Another activity of valedictory function was a Seminar on Freedom Struggle in which senior Professors and members of Bull Riders Café took active part. Prof. Rakesh Chowdhary highlighted the role of Revolutionary freedom fighters and their role in attaining the freedom from British rule. Prof. Anuradha recited poetry in praise of freedom struggle. Lieutenant Shaveta Chowdhary while interacting with participants spoke about the role of unsung women freedom fighters. She delivered a key note address on the sacrifices and contributions of women freedom fighters during freedom struggle. The members of “Bull Riders Café” viz. Gourav, Rajveer and Hershit delivered their lecture on the life history of Martyr Khudi Ram Bose, Martyr Bhagat Singh and Martyr Mangal Pandey respectively. A threadbare information and awareness was shared by the members of Bull Riders Café on the freedom struggle. While presenting the vote of thanks Gurnam Singh, Incharge, Field Outreach Bureau, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India, Rajouri extended his gratitude to Principal GDC, R. S. Pura Gurdev Singh Rakwal, Prof. Anuradha, Lieutenant Shaveta Chowdhary, Prof. Rakesh Chowdhary, Vikramjeet Singh Manhas his team of Bull Riders Café, NCC cadets and all those who extended their support and coordination in making the campaign a grand success. |
