| CBI nabs ASI while accepting bride | | | Kathua, August 29: Following a complaint of demanding bribe, a team of CBI led by Addl. SP Mahesh Sharma conducted raid at Police Station Kathua and arrested the accused red handed. The accused has been identified as ASI Bhuri Singh (Incharge Munshi) of PS Kathua. In this regard the complainant Sardar Devinder Singh S/o Sukhdev Singh R/o Jalandhar said that Police caught his truck bearing registration no. PB08-DS-3632 in a case registered in the month of July. Following the procedure he got the truck released from the court, but despite court orders Bhuri Singh was demanding Rs 3.50 Lacs for release of the truck and later he got ready for Rs 1.20 Lacs. However, he paid some amount in installments but Bhuri Singh was harassing him in different ways. He said that finally he filed a complaint with CBI and today he was caught red handed with cash of Rs 5000.
