CB Jammu produces chargesheet in land grabbing case

JAMMU, Sept 15: Crime Branch (CB) Jammu has produced chargesheet against some land grabbers for their involvement in hatching criminal conspiracy and selling out a piece of 7 Marlas land belonging to the complainant after preparing a false and fictitious agreement to sell it.
The accused involved against whom chargesheet was produced included Ashok Kumar S/o Sita Ram R/o Gudwal, Tehsil Vijaypur, Distt Samba, Rajesh Kumar Sharma S/o Roop Lal R/o Ward No 2, H No 46, Tehsil Vijaypur Distt Samba and Thakur Dass S/o Late Sant Ram R/o Gudwal Tehsil Vijaypur Distt Samba. Chargesheet in case FIR No 05/2020 U/S 420, 465, 468, 471, 201, 120-B IPC P/S Crime Branch Jammu has been produced in the CJM Court at Samba for judicial determination.
Brief facts of the case are that a written complaint was lodged by Tara Singh S/o Randir Singh R/o Vijaypur, Samba in Crime Branch Jammu, alleging therein that the accused persons are involved in a criminal conspiracy of grabbing his land and also the land belonging to innocent land owners of the area.
On receipt of the complaint a preliminary enquiry was initiated by Crime Branch, Jammu and during the course of enquiry, the allegations were prima-facie substantiated against the accused persons, leading to registration of the instant criminal case against the accused persons. During the course of investigation documentary/oral evidence was collected and offences U/S 420,465,468,471,120-B IPC was proved against accused Ashok Kumar and Thakur Dass while offences U/S 420, 465, 468, 471, 201, 120-B IPC against accused Rajesh Kumar Sharma have been proved.
