| Haemodialysis performed for first time in SMGS, Hospital Jammu on pediatric patients | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Sept 27: Department of Pediatrics, Government Medical College, Jammu performed successful Haemodialysis on 12 year old child in Shri Maharaja Gulab Singh (SMGS) Hospital, Jammu. The child was referred from far flung area for multi organ failure with acute renal failure and was in urgent need of Haemo Dialysis for survival.
Under the guidance of Principal, GMC, Jammu, Dr. Shashi Sudhan Sharma and with the tireless efforts of the H.O.D. Pediatrics, Dr. Ghanshyam Saini, in collaboration with Administration of SMGS Hospital, Jammu, Haemodialysis Unit was recently established in the Department of Pediatrics with the support of Government, under NHM J&K and FAIRFAX India Charitable Foundation who donated Haemodialysis machines for the patients.
Dr. Shashi said that Haemodialysis will soon be started in MCH Gandhi Nagar Jammu also for patient convenience and this facility of Haemodialysis is already available in GMC Jammu which was established during the 2nd wave of COVID-19 Pandemic and SSH Jammu. |
