| J&K Grameen Bank Officers Association observes one day strike | | |  Early Times Report
JAMMU, Sept 27: J&K Grameen Bank Officers Association observed a one day strike and staged protest in front of Head Office J&K Grameen Bank Narwal to draw attention of the Government of India and to settle the following demands / issues.
The demands include immediate formation of National Rural Bank of India (NRBI) totally delinked from existing sponsor banks which have been acting as master-cum-competitor, man power planning as per GOI approved policy (Mitra Committee) for better service to the customers mostly in rural areas – adequate recruitment and promotion in time-amendment of promotion rules at par with sponsor banks, full and proper implementation of 11 bipartite settlements without any discrimination, distortion and deviations.
These include ensuring benefits of minimum wages act 1948 in line with the GOI (DOPT) order dated 04-09-2019 pending regularization of the daily waged / casual / contractual workers, coverage of left out cases and coverage of new entrant’s up to date of notification of RRB PR-2018 under the purview of payment of pension. A memorandum of demands was submitted through Chairman J&K Grameen Bank to Secretary Finance. |
