| Police recover 8.50 gms heroin along with cash Rs 50300, 1 held | | | Early Times Report
KATHUA, Sept 27: In its decisive action against drug peddlers within the district, Kathua Police under the overall supervision of SSP Kathua R C Kotwal-JKPS once again acting tough against drug peddlers nabbed 01 drug peddler.
According to reports on September 26, 2021 a police team led by Inspector Om Prakash Chib SHO PS Kathua during patrolling duty at Kulliyan Chack Drab Khan noticed one suspected vehicle (Scooter) bearing registration number JK08-6266 and was directed to stop for checking. Sensing danger, the driver of the vehicle managed to flee away leaving the pillion rider behind. On thorough checking of the pillion rider approx. 8.50 grams of Heroin like contraband and cash amounting to Rs. 50300/- was recovered. The accused has been identified as Amar Kumar S/o Ashok Kumar R/o Kulliyan Chack Drab Khan Kathua. He further disclosed that the name of scooter driver is Shehzad @ Chotu S/o Akhtar Khan R/o Upper Mohalla Chack Drab Khan Kathua.
In this regard a case under FIR No. 425/2021 U/S 8/21/22/29 NDPS Act has been registered at P/S Kathua and further investigation into motion. |
