| Hindi Diwas Desh Bhakti Kavyapath Pratiyogita at CLUJ | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Sept 27: Department of Students Welfare, Cluster University of Jammu organized a virtual Desh Bhakti Kavyapath Pratiyogita to commemorate Hindi Diwas as part of Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav under the patronage of Prof. Bechan Lal, Vice Chancellor, CLUJ.
The Hindi Diwas is celebrated every year on 14th September to remember and honour the adoption of Hindi language, written in the Devanagari script, as one of the official languages of the country earlier in 1949. It is pertinent to mention that efforts were made by several writers, poets, and activists for adoption of Hindi as the official language.
Madhvi Sharma, senior broadcaster, All India Radio Jammu, was the guest of honor at the event. She emphasized that we should be proud of our national language and should learn to speak in the public domain without any hesitation. She exhorted that Hindi is one of the oldest and most influential languages in the world and we should take pride in speaking our mother tongue.
About 26 participants from constituent colleges and PGI schools participated in the event. The webinar was attended by Dean Academic Affairs, Registrar, Deans of faculties, Dean Students Welfare, Principals of constituent colleges and Associate and Assistant Deans. |
