GCET Jammu organizes webinar to celebrate 'Poshan Maah' | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Sept 27: The NSS unit of Govt College of Engineering & Technology (GCET) Jammu today organized a national webinar to celebrate Rashtirya Poshan Maah- 2021 under the aegis of Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav- Celebration of India's 75 years of Independence. The event was held under the patronage of college Principal Dr Sameru Sharma. She in her inaugural message told the concept behind observing Poshan Abhiyaan. This abhiyaan overall intends to increase nutritional awareness and responsiveness among mothers of young children, adolescent girls, pregnant and lactating women, family members including husbands, father, mothers-in-law and community members, health care providers (ANM, ASHA, Anganwadi worker) about vital nutrition behaviors. The proceedings of the event were attended by more than 90 participants from different colleges and universities. The resource person of the event was Dr Arvind Manhas who is working as Principal of SGM College of Physiotherapy Gujarat, India. The topic of his talk was "Approach Towards Holistic Lifestyle". In his talk he said that holistic health is actual approach to life. This approach is how the person is interconnected with environment and also emphasizes the connection of mind, body and spirit. The event was coordinated by senior NSS volunteer Sakshi Bhat, Paras Gupta, Jaanvi Sharma, Mohd Sami and Rohit Majotra under the guidance of Dr Raman Gupta, NSS Programme Officer GCET Jammu. He appreciated and encouraged all the NSS volunteers for organizing such kind of events. The event was ended with vote of thanks by senior NSS volunteer Mandeep Singh of the college. All the participants will be provided the e-certificates for the event. |
