12TH Distt Speedball Championship concludes

JAMMU, Sept 27: 12th District Speedball Championship organized by J&K Sports Speedball Association at Crescent Public School concluded the other day. Around 100 Players from various Schools ofJammu District took Participation in this fabulous Event. Dogra HSS School, SD Tara Puri School, Crescent Public School, Banyan International School, Air Force School, Delhi Public School, Nanda Sports Club, Jammu Sanskriti School, Bharti Shiksha Kendra High School and May Fair High School were the participant schools. On the valedictory function, Harjeet Singh, First Class Magistrate was the chief guest while Arshid Choudhary, Chairman of Crescent Public School, was the presiding guest. Tarun Uppal (Distt President Jammu Speed Ball Association) and Kamal Dev Singh Manhas (Manger HDFC Bank) were the guests of honour. Dr Bhavana Kaushal, Principal of Crescent Public School; Anil Nanda, Event Director JKSBAR, Raghubir Choudhary (SHO Pacca Danga) were also present as guests. The chief guest appreciated the Association for involving such a huge number of young boys and girls in this Speedball event. The General Secretary of the Association, Sunny Nanda welcomed all guests on the behalf of the Association and gave a brief presentation regarding national and international achievements.
The matches were officiated by Sahil Janjua, Ankit Sharma, Sandeep Sharma and Jatin Gupta under the supervision of event organizer Sunny Nanda.
Under-14 Girls Category: Raghvi Singh (JMPS) won gold, Rupali Singh (JSS) won silver while Bhumika Gupta (MVI) and Jiya Nagpal (DHSS) won bronze.
Under 12-Boys Category: Umair (DPS) gold, Kundal Sood (DPS) silver, Nirvaan Gupta (AFS) and Ayush Dogra (BIS) won bronze medals. Under-14 Boys Category: Sahil Kumar (BSKS) gold, Kaniya Sharma (JMPS) silver, Atharva Gupta (DPS) and Harshdeep Singh (BIS) won bronze.
Under-16 Boys Category medals were won by Yogant Jamwal (DPS) gold, Nirlabh Singh (CPSC) silver, Ravinder Singh (JMPS) and Vishal Kumar (BSKS) bronze.
Under-19 Boys Category: Gurmanjeet Singh (CPSC) gold, Manish Karloopia (JSS) silver, Manthan Pooh (DHSS) and Jatin Kumar (DHSS) bronze were medal winners. In Open Super Solo Gurman Singh (JSS) won gold, Dhruv Choudhary silver, Vijayant Augusta (BIS) and Chetanya (BIS) won bronze medals. The event was hosted by Nusrat Tahir.
