JAMMU, Oct 1: A Cycle Rally, organized by the CRPF under “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav” programe, which began its journey from Group Center CRPF, Jammu on September 23 will reach Rajghat in New Delhi tomorrow. After covering a distance of about 665 Kms via Samba, Kathua district of J&K and Pathankot, Dinanagar, Gurdaspur, Batala, Jallianwala bagh Mallian, Tagra, Beas, “Jung-e-Azadi Memorial” Kartarpur, Group Centre, CRPF, Jallandhar, Ludhiana, Shaheed Udyam Singh Memorial, Sirhind (Punjab) of Punjab state, reached 13 Battalion CRPF Sirhind District - Fatehgarh Sahib (Punjab) , Basantpura, Rajpura, Ambala, Shahabad, “Martyr’s Memorial, District Police Line, District-Kurukshetra, Karnal, Panipat, Ganaur (Haryana)” reached Group Center CRPF Sonipat (Haryana) on September 29. This Cycle-Rally has been organized under the leadership of Bhanu Pratap Singh, Deputy Inspector General of Police, Group Centre, CRPF, Jammu. On September 30 the cycle rally departed for Group Center CRPF Grugram (Haryana) and reached there. Sunil Jun, DIG, Group Center, Gurugram, in his address said that on the nectar festival of Independence, CRPF organized 4 cycle rallies from important places of the country- Kanyakumari, Sabarmati, Jorhat and from Jammu to Rajghat (New Delhi). The cycle rally was started from Jammu on September 23 and after covering a distance of about 785 km has reached “Group Center CRPF Gurugram (Haryana)” on September 30. Apart from this, cycle rallies of Kanyakumari, Sabarmati and Jorhat are also reaching “Group Center CRPF Gurugram Camp Complex”. These four cycle rallies will be flagged off from “Group Center CRPF Gurugram Camp Complex” to Rajghat (New Delhi) on October 2 in the morning. |
