| GDC Darhal organizes induction meet | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
RAJOURI, Oct 1: Government Degree College (GDC) Darhal started new academic session by organizing an induction meet for the newly admitted students of Sem-I. Principal of the college, Prof Sumanesh Jasrotia introduced the newly admitted students with the faculty members.
He motivated the students to make best use of college Library and all other facilities available for developing their personality. He assured the students that they will receive whole hearted support and cooperation from all the teaching and non-teaching staff members of the college. He also motivated the newly admitted students to celebrate Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav with full fervour and gaiety. He also threw light on the various initiatives of Govt. of India such as Shikshit Bharart Abhiyaan, Saksham Bharat Abhiyaan, Poshan Abhiyaan and Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan. He advised the students to wholeheartedly take part in all the programmes. He also told the students about various National and International Conferences, Webinars, Workshops, Faculty Development programmes and guest lectures were organized by the college. He also apprised the students about PMSSS, NSP and various scholarship schemes.
He said that newly established college is a source of inspiration for all the students as the college has earned the reputation of a productive academic institution where students can grow to achieve their goals. He also talked about the introduction of Skill Development Courses to be introduced shortly in the college as per the recommendations of Deptt of Higher Education, Govt of J&K. Proceedings of the Programme were conducted by Dr Riaz. The programme was attended by a large number of students and teaching and non-teaching staff members of the college.
