JAMMU, Oct 1: National Democratic Party Indian (NDPI) in a meeting held under the chairmanship of party interim president JKUT, Umesh Manhas expressed serious concern over the termination of NHM contractual workers employed during COVID emergency. Terming the act as bizarre, Manhas said that it is only an immature decision of the administration. He asked if tomorrow third wave of pandemic returns how would the administration deal it with. He asked with termination of these employees not only injustice had been done to these employees but reputation of administration is also compromised. He suggested that administration should revisit its decision in the larger interest of common masses as if need arises new aspirants would not turn for contractual employment. He, however, advised protesting employees continue with demands but peacefully. He expressed full solidarity with protesting expelled employees. On the occasion Rajan Kumar, Vinod Mattoo, Sanjeev Verma, Usha Kumari, Atual Gupta, Kuljeet Singh and other officer bearers participated in the crucial meeting. |
