| Councillor Gurmeet kick starts drain work in Ward 69 | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Oct 2: BJP leader and Councillor of Ward 69 of Sainik Colony, Gurmeet Kour Randhawa on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti kick started drain work worth Rs 2. 5 lakh in Sector ‘G’ of Sainik Colony. The Councillor along with with other residents paid tribute to Mahatma Gandhi and took pledge for ‘Swachta Abiyan’. “Our prime duty is to keep our city clean and not to throw garbage and other used items here and there due to which our sanitation workers are facing problems for lifting such garbage /other materials. This is resulting in blockade of lanes and drains,” she said while honouring sanitation workers on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti. A large number of residents were present during pledge of Swachta Abhiyan and kick starting of drain work including Alkesh, Inderjeet Kour, Mohit, Mattoo, Amreak Singh, Sanjeev and Gita. |
