| 2 thieves arrested, valuables worth Rs 6 lakh recovered | | |

Kathua, Oct 2: Police solving a theft case had arrested two thieves. Police had recovered stolen golden/ silver ornaments and one Android phone worth Rs. 6 Lakh (approximately) from them. According to reports on September 23, 2021, a Case FIR No. 94/2021 u/s 454/380 IPC was registered at Police Station Lakhanpur on the written complaint of one Arpan Sharma S/O Lt. Ashok Kumar R/O Maroli that some unknown thieves broken the lock of his house as well as cupboard and stolen golden/silver ornaments, mobile phone and some other items. On this a Police team lead by Inspector Sumeet Sharma SHO P/S Lakhanpur assisted by PSI Swarn Singh Manhas swung into action and arrested accused persons namely Mehboob Akhtar S/O Shamash Din and Arshad Ahmed S/O Suleman both R/O Dodla Tehsil Basohli District Kathua.
The police had recovered golden ornaments i.e Chain with locket (30gms), small chain (13gm), 01 pair Gold Bangles (30gms), Dogri Ear rings (04gms), Ear ring (10gms), 02 No. of ladies ring (08gms), 04 gents ring (14gms), i.e. total 109 Gms gold items and silver ornaments which includes 01 pair of Anklet (60gms), 01 pair Bracelet (80gms), 01 Bowl (20gms), i.e. total 160 Gms silver ornaments, 01 Android phone worth 35000/- on their disclosure. Further investigation is going on. |
