Jammu, Oct 2: Gandhi Jayanti was celebrated by Sarvodaya International Trust Jammu & Kashmir Chapter today with children and members of Bal Gran at Channi Himmat. The programme started with a prayer song by all followed by participation of many children in Dogri, English and Hindi languages sharing valuable thoughts of Mahatama Gandhi with everyone. Special attraction was a self composed Bhajan on Gandhi by Ms Saisha and Saibaba Gupta as everyone appreciated their melodious bhajan. Children sung Gandhian Bhajans also like Vaishnav Jan To and Raghupati Raaghav Raja Ram besides theme based stories by Research Scholar of University of Jammu. Justice Permod Kohli the Chairperson of SITJKC was the chief guest on the occasion with President of the Bal Gran Khajuria, Prof R D Sharma and other members of the home. Ravinder Singh, Dr V K Bhutyal, Prof. Renu Nanda, Raspreet Kour, Sheetu and Manju participated in the event. Children who participated in the different performance include Bharti, Ankush, Yougal, Rohan, Aadarsh, Priyanka, Diksha, Pinki, Ayina, Mehak, Muskan, Sheetal, Zamila, Sorav, Zaffar, Sushant, Abby, Varsha and Risha of Bal Gran.
