| GDC Khour organizes Plantation Drive | | |  Early Times Report
JAMMU, Oct 6: NSS & NCC unit of Government Degree College Khour organized a "Plantation Drive" and a lecture on the "Gandhian Philosophy in Indian Constitution. The programme was the part of weeklong celebration under the vision of Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav and Clean India Mission, to commemorate 152nd birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. Suraj Singh, Vice Chairman District Development Council, Jammu was the chief guest of the event. Speaking on the occasion the chief guest stressed upon the importance of clean environment for a sustainable ecosystem. About fifty saplings of different plants were planted by the chief guest, Prof. Tarsem Lal along with staff and volunteers of NSS and NCC cadets of the college. The program was organized by NSS Programme Officer, Prof. Gurvinder Kour and NCC Officer Prof. Arun Sharma under the guidance of Prof. Rama Badyal, Principal of the college. |
