| Dogra Front & Shiv Sena protest against sale of mutton during Navratras | | |  EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Oct 10: The workers of Dogra Front and Shiv Sena under the leadership of their president Ashok Gupta took out a protest rally in Jammu city against the selling of meat and chicken during the auspicious Navratras in Jammu city as it hurts the religious sentiments of the people.
Ashok Gupta stated that most of the meat and chicken selling shops in the municipal areas of Jammu are open but the order passed by the Jammu Municipal Corporation is not applicable on the ground.
Gupta forwarded the order to the different police stations as well as to the Jammu Municipal Corporation Mayor and Municipal Commissioner to take immediate steps so that the rules can be implemented firmly on the ground.
He held a telephonic conversation with the JMC Mayor, Chander Mohan Gupta that the order passed should be implemented firmly on the ground.
The party president firmly said that the order should be implemented on the ground otherwise the religious people will have to take the matter into their own hands.
The party people who were present at the time of protest were Birbal, Labba, Deepu, Devinder, Suresh, Vikramjit, Ashu and others.
