Admin ignored elected representatives: DDC member | Union Minister’s Poonch visit | | Rajesh Tandon
Early Times Report
Poonch, Oct 10: District Development Council member from Mankote constituency Imran Zaffar on Sunday said that elected representatives were just given one minute to talk to the visiting Union Minister for Rural Development Department and Panchayat Raj. Zaffar told reporters here that only one minute was given by administration to elected members of Poonch, including DDC members and BDC chairpersons, to meet the Minister. “Elected members and BDC chairpersons were ignored. The administration has made the right of speech its fiefdom". Zaffar said, "There was a time when political leaders across the country were hailing martyrs Aurnagzed of Mendhar but his village especially his home has no facilities of drinking water which reflects the government's failure. “ He urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to send a team of ministers to border districts especially frontier areas of Poonch and take cognizance of problems. He said, “Administration always ignores media persons, social activists in every VIP tour as these people are aware of the ground reality and are capable of asking questions to ministers.” |
