JAMMU, Oct 17: Congress leader Bharat Priye presented cricket kits to the youth in Sera panchayat of Chhamb assembly constituency. Interacting with the youth, Bharat Priye said that drug addiction has become a serious problem for the society. Sports are the best tool to save youth from drug addiction. If youth is to be kept away from drugs, then they have to be motivated to participate in sports.
Participation in sports will not only make the youth physically fit but will also develop solidarity, leadership, team spirit. He advised the youth to take out time for studies as well as sports. There is no dearth of sports talent in Jammu and Kashmir. With the right platform and guidance, youth can achieve success in any competition. He also urged the parents of the youth to keep an eye on the activities of the children and motivate them to participate in sports along with studies. The dream of most of the youth of this border area is to join the army. Participating in sports will keep them physically fit which will also help them in recruitment selection. Dignitaries of the area including Ramesh Verma, Satpal Sharma, Chunni Lal, Sham Chaudhary were present on this occasion.
