JAMMU, Oct 17: A police public meeting was held at village Rehal today wherein Rajnish Gupta, SP South Jammu was the chief guest. Shabir Khan SDPO, RS Pura and Joginder Singh Chib SHO Bishnah were also among the visiting team.
Romesh Khajuria (resident of Rehal) vice chairman, WWEPC, MOT, Govt of India, president Mission Modi Again PM J&K UT and member, National Working Committee Gau Parkoushth, MRM, opened the interactive special session.
Prominent people of village put forth difficulties/grievances being faced like lack of irrigation facilities, drug habit among youth, gambling, demand to raise a Police Chowki at Rehal to check drugs menace and theft cases emerging in the area before the authorities.
Addressing the gathering of chief guest SP South Rajnish Gupta suggested some points to curb the crime viz verification of outside labour, not to share the information on fb while going outside, constitution of youth club to keep vigilance on subversive elements and to check the activities of children.
Later the police team visited the Gaushala and stadium site and suggested some points for its upgradation.
