Selective target killing of minorities in Kashmir must stop forthwith: KP leaders | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Oct 17: Several security concerns about migrants, non-migrants and other minorities of Kashmir were thoroughly discussed and debated in an interactive session of prominent Kashmiri Pandits held last evening at Roop Nagar Jammu. The security aspect of PM package employees working in valley and other non Kashmiri migrants have raised serious concern all over the UT and other parts of the country in view of continuous selective and targeted killing of minority people in the valley for last several weeks. Speakers said these issues need to be brought into the knowledge of UT / Central Government and also to people of the Nation through Foras. Most of the participants who had come from valley have urged the Government to take adequate preventive measures for protecting un armed minorities living or working in Kashmir & also impressed upon Government to handle Kashmir situation in such a way that no such incident of selective and targeted killings take place in future. Speakers also said that apart from strengthening the security grid, central authorities must take all other measures that rekindles the old age practice of secular ethos of J&K especially in Valley. Regarding the PM package employees working in the valley , most of the speakers pleaded in voice that their jobs be made transferable to any part of UT and other parts of the country The meeting which was organized by MK Yogi, was also attended by prominent persons including Professor AN Sadhu, Dr.T.K. Bhat, R.K.Bhat, Vinod Pandita, AK Dhar, Shadi Lal Pandita, Sanjay Dhar, Sunil Pandita, Romesh Kumar and many others .
