BJP won’t let any person die of hunger: Randhawa

JAMMU, Oct 17: Former Member Legislative Council (MLC) and Secretary Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP), who is also the convener of Pradhan Mantri Gareeb Kalyan Anna Yojna (PMGKAY), today distributed free ration among the beneficiaries of PMGKAY at Rajiv Nagar in Gandhi Nagar assembly segment. While speaking on the occasion Randhawa said that BJP is committed to provide food to all and won’t let any person die of hunger. He said that COVID-19 has rendered thousands of families jobless which were at the verge of starvation. Keeping this thing in mind Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched this unique initiative under which 80 crore families of the nation are being provided free ration so that nobody sleeps hungry. He said that the BJP is committed to ensure food for all amid ongoing pandemic and thousands of families of Jammu and Kashmir are being benefitted under this scheme.
Apart from this BJP has launched many mega developmental projects in Jammu region work on which is going on war footing. He said that Jammu is being developed as a ‘Smart City’ and all the requisite development is being carried out in the city of temples which was otherwise being ignored by the Kashmir centric governments of the erstwhile state of Jammu and Kashmir.
Ration dealer Khadim Hussain appreciated the scheme and expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for providing free ration to 80 crore families of the nation. He told Randhawa that 185 families and more than 1200 souls of this depot are being benefited. Those who were present on the occasion include Shivani Devi, Sham Lal, Mohd. Haneef (all Panches) along with Amit Gupta, Rachit Khosla, Ashok Vaid, Davinder Singh, Vishal Gupta, Chandan Kumar, Maan Singh.
