Avinash Bassan calls on SSP Jammu, discusses cyber crimes | | | Early times Report
Jammu, Oct 20: Avinash Bassan, a renowned social worker, journalist, motivational speaker and Managing Director Of The Fire Flyers ( security gadgets n appliances enterprise ) today called upon SSP Jammu Chandan Kohli IPS and after discussing about rising graph of Cyber Crime in the union territory of Jammu and Kashmir. After a detailed discussion, Managing Director of The Fire Flyer submitted a memorandum to SSP Jammu which reads as that Rising Cyber Crime Cybercrime has become the most disruptive threat for financial markets, but at the same time is the most underrated by both regulators and financial institutions. Although Central Government has taken steps to spread awareness about cyber crimes, issue of alerts/advisories, capacity building/training of law enforcement personnel/ prosecutors/ judicial officers, improving cyber forensics facilities etc. to prevent such crimes and to speed up investigation. But need of the hour is to launch the cybercrime reporting center in almost every district of our UT to enable complainants to report complaints pertaining to Child Pornography/Child Sexual Abuse, rape, transgender exploitation or sexually explicit content. Volunteer organisation helping people with Cyber Safety issues who can help victims of Cyber Crime. As per High Technology Crime Investigation Association (HTCIA) the number of cyber crime cases in India in 2010 was 966 which raised to 27,248 in 2018 reported by National Crime Record Bureau of India.
