Director Tourism Jammu apprises activities of Iconic Week Festival to stakeholders

JAMMU, Oct 20: In order to celebrate week long Iconic Festivals from October 23 to 29, 2021 in the Union Territory of J&K, a meeting was held under the chairmanship of Vivekanand Rai, Director Tourism, Jammu with Tourism Stakeholders to apprise them about the programmes being held all over Jammu Division during the week long Iconic festivals.
The meeting was attended by Natasha Kalsotra, Joint Director Tourism, Jammu, Naresh Kumar, Deputy Director Tourism, Publicity, Amarjyoti Raina, Deputy Director Tourism, Jammu, Sheena Sahni, Assistant Director Tourism, Hqr and esteemed stakeholders from Hotel and Travel Trade fraternity, Capt. Anil Gaur, Ex-President, IATO, Jammu Chapter, S. Amrik Singh, President, JATO, Baldev Raj, Secretary, All Hotel & Lodges Association, Jammu, Swaran Singh, All Jammu Hotel & Lodges Association, Jammu, Bhuveneshwar Gandotra, President Jammu Heritage Society, Jagdish Raj, Hotel Bar & Restaurant Association, Jammu and Raman Sharma, Jammu Katra Tourism Welfare Organization.
Briefing the stakeholders Director Tourism, Jammu briefed them that Week long Iconic Festivals are being held to promote the destinations, cuisines and heritage of UT of J&K amongst the inbound tourists. Besides, this is an endeavour to bring the destinations of UT of J&K globally in tourist map.
While discussing in detail the week long Iconic Festivals and its programme schedule, Director Tourism, Jammu has requested the stakeholders to publicize the festivals amongst the tourists and also invited them to witness the same. All present in the meeting have assured Director Tourism, Jammu full cooperation in celebrating the festivals and also for publicizing the events amongst the tourists for their active participation in all the events to make this endeavour a great success.
