| Police foils bovine smuggling bid, 11 bovines rescued | | |  EARLY TIMES REPORT
Kathua, Oct 20: In continuation to thwart the conspiracies of bovine smugglers within the district, Kathua Police under the overall supervision of SSP Kathua R C Kotwal -JKPS foiled bovine smuggling attempt near Hatli Morh, Kathua. In this action Police rescued 11 Bovines, arrested 01 person, and seized 01 vehicle involved in the commission of aforesaid crime.
According to police reports on October 20, 2021, a police team led by Insp. Yash Paul, I/C PP Industrial Estate, Kathua under the supervision of SHO Kathua Insp. OP Chib and Dy SP HQRS Shammi Kumar during patrolling duty on NHW Hatli Morh, Kathua intercepted one truck bearing Registration Number JK02BV/7579.
During physical checking of the truck 11 bovines were found loaded.
Following which police arrested the driver of the truck identified as Showkat Hussain S/o Nazir Hussain R/O Salonia, tehsil Mandi, district Poonch.
On this a case under FIR No. 457/2021 U/S 188/IPC, 11PCA Act has been registered at Police Station Kathua and further investigation has been set into motion accordingly. |
