Early Times Report JAMMU, Oct 27: Senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and National Working Committee Gau Parkoshat (MRM) , Seh-sanyojak, Gau Parkoshat, Delhi Pardesh (MRM), Romesh Khajuria on Wednesday welcomed the visit of Deputy Commissioner, Jammu to Bishnah and Arnia blocks for on spot assessment of loss of crops due to hailstorm and untimely heavy rains on October 23. Khajuria expressed gratitude to Manoj Sinha, Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir for initiating prompt action. Khajuria in a statement said that DC Jammu, Anshul Garg should declare 100 percent loss of crop due to natural calamity and recommend a package to the government at the earliest so that affected farmers could avail the benefits of the compensation so that they plan their next crop as the farmers are badly affected due to this natural calamity and are hand to mouth at the moment. Earlier, Khajuria went out to meet farmers who have been affected badly with the massive hailstorm and heavy rains on Saturday. Khajuria visited Rehal Panchayat, Saidgarh, Shahpur, Krail Manhasa, Pandori, Arniai Area, Karyal and met the hailstorm affected farmers. Khajuria said that farmers in Jammu have lost almost 100 percent of crops after Saturday's strong winds, rainfall and hailstorm
