UDHAMPUR, Oct 27: A poor man from a remote hamlet of Udhampur is awaiting some financial help to come out of the crisis fate has pushed him into after he lost his legs due to some disease. Romesh Kumar, 49, of village Suglar presently at Balgerd, Gordhi in Udhampur district told to early times that both his legs were amputated as he suffered from some dreaded disease. “I have a family including three daughters, one son and a wife to support and after losing legs tragedies befell on me and my family as my work badly suffered,” he informed. He also said that three surgeries were performed on him of which two were paid by him while the one was financed from his Ayushman Card. “Though the third surgery was free yet every month I need medicines worth Rs 4000-5000 and I have no source of income at present,” he maintained appealing the authorities concerned or NGOs to come forward for his help. Kumar lives in a Kuccha house and he informed that not even concerned PRIs member or some officer or politician reached him for help while he along with his entire family is in deep crisis after he lost both his legs. |
