| Agriculture equipment worth Rs 40 lakh distributed among Panchayats in Basohli | | |

BASOHLI, Oct 27: District Development Council (DDC) Kathua Chairman, Mahan Singh distributed agricultural equipments worth lakhs to more than two dozen Panchayats of Basohli and Bani sub-Divisions here today.
The DDC Kathua Chairman lauded the union government led by Prime Minister Narinder Modi for its commitment to double the farmers’ income. He urged the PRI representatives to leave no stone unturned in motivating and encouraging the farmers to adopt new methods and latest technology in farming activity that would ensure optimum produce both in terms of quantity as well as quality.
Asserting that the central government has rolled out multiple schemes for the welfare of farmers, he appealed to them to come forward and avail optimum advantage of these schemes in order to double and enhance their income from farming occupation. He said that since India is an agrarian/agricultural country, it can be said to achieve prosperity and happiness only when the farmers of this nation are prosperous and happy. |
