TNWS demands review of rates for Free Hold Rights
11/1/2021 10:53:50 PM
Early Times Report
JAMMU, Nov 1: Executive members of Trikuta Nagar Welfare Society (TNWS) under the chairmanship of Rajinder Parshad, President TNWS Jammu held an urgent meeting regarding the slashing of Free Hold Rights in favour of Trikuta Nagar residents.
The meeting passed a resolution that TNWS should write an open letter for its long pending and genuine demand to LG Manoj Sinha. The members said that LG should issue directions to the Board of Directors of Housing and Urban Development Departments J&K UT for reviewing the rates of free Hold Rights in favour of Trikuta Nagar residents.
As we had meetings with the then Advisor to Governor, KK Sharma and admitted that the rates should be Rs one lakh for per kanal as free Hold Rights and issued telephonic directions to the then VC, JDA to issue notification in this regard at an earliest.
But its surprising for the residents of Trikuta Nagar Colony that VC JDA Jammu issued notification that residents should have to pay estimated Rs 7 lakhs to get free Hold Rights. This was disclosed by VC JDA Jammu in the meeting held with delegates of TNWS on Friday 29.10.2021.
While Housing Board issued Free Hold Rights in favour of Gandhi Nagar Colony at no extra cost of development and for Channi Himat Housing Colony is getting free hold rights for Rs one lakh per kanal. Then how can JDA Jammu charge so higher side rates of free Hold Rights from Trikuta Nagar residents while the JDA have not done anything in respect of development since the establishment of Trikuta Nagar Colony Jammu since 1971.
Moreover, JDA have already charged handsome amount at the time of allotments of plots. Now, team TNWS Jammu once again request the LG to issue directions to Board of Directors with time bound instructions that the residents of Trikuta Nagar Colony Jammu gets the justice as mostly residents are pensioners and senior citizens who can't pay such huge amount again on their allotted plots. The meeting was attended by Er Ashok Kumar Arora, SN Kaul, Vijay Gupta, Dr TR Gupta, RK Kakroo, KK Mahajan, OP Sharma, Krishan Gupta and Er Varinder Kumar Suri besides large gathering of Trikuta Nagar residents.
