JAMMU, Nov 2: National Ayurveda Day commemorated every year on this date since 2016 is observed according to Hindu mythology (Bhagwat Purana) Dhanvantri, regarded as ‘Hindu God of Ayurveda ‘. It is the incarnation of Lord Vishnu who arose from Samundra Manthan’, holding the nectar pot of immortality.
His birthday is celebrated on Dhanteras,& now as ‘The National Ayurveda day, disclosed vijay Sharma chairman TMF in his presidential address. Worshippers pray to Dhanvantri seeking his blessings for sound healing . |
