| Religious fervour marks National Ayurveda Day, Dhanwantri jayanti celebration in Samba | | |

SAMBA, Nov 2: The National Ayurveda Day was celebrated here today to commemorate Dhanwantri Jayanti amid Havan, Puja and worship of lord Dhanwantri here in DC office Complex Samba. The celebration was held under the guidance of Director Ayush Dr Mohan Singh and Deputy Commissioner Samba Anuradha Gupta and supervision of Nodal Officer Ayush Samba Dr Vikram Singh Jamwal.
The programme commenced with the lighting of the traditional lamp by DC in presence of SSP Rajesh Sharma.
All the participants offered obeisance to the lord Dhanwantri and performed Havan Puja. A presentation depicting achievements and activities of the AYUSH department was also presented. The Deputy Commissioner Samba appreciated the services of AYUSH department rendered during covid pandemic including holding of regular online yoga classes besides distribution of free Ayush medicines.
Later, Appreciation Certificates and mementos were presented to the officers and officials of administration and Ayush department.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Suram Chand Sharma; Assistant Commissioner Revenue Ravinder Kumar; District Informatics Officer Sanjeev Kapoor besides other officers and officials of Ayush dept were also present. |
