DDC chairman reviews physical status of works under PRI grants

DODA, Nov 2: District Development Council Chairman Dhananter Singh Kotwal today reviewed physical achievements of works taken up under DDC, BDC and PRI grants here at a meeting held in the hall of DC offices complex.
Status of work wise tendering process, allotment of works, works started on ground and works completed were discussed in detail in the meeting.
While reviewing RDD sector projects, it was given out that out of 1420 works 1315 have been estimated and of these 1285 have been accorded Administrative Approvals, while 319 have been allotted.
Under the School education sector, 9 works of construction and procurement nature were identified. It was informed that procurement of computers etc shall be done once the department receives pending 50% funds. On identified civil works, which cannot be taken up due to some disputes, the DDC chairman asked Education and PWD to resolve the issues locally in consultation with DDC members.
While reviewing Jal Shakti and PDD it was given out that maximum of the works have been allotted and procurement is under process. The works shall be completed before 31st December this year.
It was further informed that in the PWD sector out of 4 works, 1 has been tendered till date. Forest department was assigned 5 works which have been tendered and shall be allotted soon.
Health department was assigned 5 works of purchase nature and 2 civil works. The procurement of Ambulances would be done through State Motor Garages by the end of this month, while building works have been started by PWD.
Vice Chairperson DDC, Sangeeta Rani, while addressing the meeting, stressed on early tendering of the approved works for their timely completion. She urged for conducting fortnightly reviews and addressing issues for timely completion of works .
The Chairman urged the officers and Engineering department to work in synergy and gear up the men and machinery for coming up to the expectations of the people.
The meeting was attended by ADDC Doda Mohammad Hanief Malik; CPO Doda Parshotam Kumar; ACD Doda Mohammad Idrees Lone; Assistant Commissioner Panchayat Ashfaq Ahmad Khanji; SE PWD, SE PDD, DEPO Doda, DIO Doda, DYSSO Doda, XENs of PWD, Jal Shakti & REW, AD Planning RDD, Besides, other officials of the RDD department.
