JKMEF holds conference, projects various demands | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Nov 2: A daylong conference of Jammu Kashmir Medical Employee Federation (JKMEF) Jammu was held at Block Ukhral, Distt Ramban today under the chairmanship of Sushil Sudan, State President JKMEF, Jammu. While addressing the conference, Sushil Sudan strongly urged the govet to consider the long pending demands of medical employees. Sudan said that one of the major demands is departmental promotions of all categories which has not been done since four years as a result of which all the health employees are suffering while he also demanded creation of more posts of senior Pharmacists at Sub District Hospitals and District Hospitals. He also sought upgradation of the posts of Pharmacists as Sr Pharmacist, Sup Pharmacist and Head Pharmacist to Block Pharmacy Officers and District Pharmacy Officers. Sudan also demanded amendment in SRO 20, adding that the file to the needful is gathering dust in the Civil Secretariat for the last 30 years. Meanwhile on the occasion, a body of JKMEF Block Ukhral was elected by the employees. Shaheen Ahmed Katoch Pharmacist elected as Block President, Anita Devi Vice President, Melad Rashid Shah General Secretary, Tariq Aziz Joint Secretary and Jarnail Singh Cashier. Others who attended and addressed the conference were Vinod Sharma, Secretary General JKMEF and Aslam Bhai President Lab Tech Association. |
