Shiksha Niketan celebrates Diwali with fervour | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Nov 2: Shiksha Niketan Senior Secondary School, Jeevan Nagar Jammu organized the Diwali celebrations today with great enthusiasm and fervour. On this occasion, the school was decorated with Diyas, beautiful charts and hanging showpieces hoping that this festival of lights would bring bright sparkles of joy and happiness in everyone's life. The programme started with lighting of ceremonial lamp followed by Saraswati Vandana. To make it a joyful day the teachers of Shiksha Niketan and its sister concern school presented beautiful performances. Audience enjoyed the show thoroughly and expressed their joy and gratitude with a thundering applause. Thereafter gifts were distributed to all Teaching, Non- Teaching and Menial Staff by the Principal Rameshwar Mengi. The main guest of the function was Abhishek Abrol (SDM Jammu South), who gave an impressive speech on this occasion and wished everyone a Happy Diwali. Special guest ID Soni (State Chief Commissioner J&K Bharat Scouts and Guides), Shreyansh Kumar (State Chairman Indian Yoga Association) and all the other guests Dr Niharika Mahajan, Dr Anirudh Mahajan, Gagandeep Singh (Revenue Department) also gave "Good Luck Wishes" to all. After their motivational speeches, Director of RMPS, Rakshan Mengi and Director of Pushp Vatika, Rasheek Mengi interacted with all the staff members and also wished them Happy Diwali and Bhai Dhooj. The Principal of the School, Rameshwar Mengi offered his warm wishes on the eve of the Diwali and gave a message to celebrate "Pollution Free Diwali" in its purest form by lightning lamps and sharing with the less fortunate ones. On this Diwali function an exhibition of different "Art & Craft Material" was displayed. All the guests appreciated the creativity of the students. Programme concluded with the vote of thanks given by the Headmaster of the School, Harish Sharma. |
