Early Times Report JAMMU, Nov 2: NSS GGM Science College Jammu under the patronage of Principal Dr Ravender Tickoo and guidance of NSS PO Dr Deepali Mahajan today organized a Rangoli making event with the theme "Aatmnirbhar Bharat" in the college premises. NSS volunteers participated with a great level of enthusiasm. Area outside the Principal chamber was used for making the Rangoli, a traditional form that brightens up an occasion and is believed to be harbinger of good luck; to mark the upcoming festival of lights-Deepawali. "Atmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyaan" or Self-reliant India campaign is the vision of new India envisaged by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi. To promote vocal for local, to create best out of waste under the theme reuse, reduce and recycle, Mr. Rajat Salgotra, B.Tech from Sambhav Eco Alternatives displayed the different products from desi cow dung and used temple flowers like Diyas, flower pots, dhoop sticks and agarbatti. A vocal for local campaigning is also held by NSS volunteers purchasing from local markets in this seven day workshop Diye se Diya jala. NSS volunteers Reetik Kapahi, Nancy Sharma, Sunandini Sharma, Pranav Sharma, Aaghav Arora, Anchal Singh, Neeru Devi, Divya Surmal, Mohammad Ali, Vasu, Ashish, Eshan, Abhishek, Nazakat Ali, Prerna Syal, Shradha, Gulnaz, Shabana Akhtar, Sargam Verma, Tanisha Gupta, Sahil, Tushar Kashyap and Shubam Kumar participated. |
