No confidence motion moved against VP Municipal Committee Thathri

KISHTWAR, Nov 10: In an extraordinary development four councilors of Municipal Committee Thathri moved a no confidence motion against its Vice President and a meeting regarding the same has been fixed on Thursday in the office of President MC Thathri.
As per the details available with Early Times, out of six ward members, four backed by the Congress party moved the no confidence motion against Vice President Gurdesh Kumar who is lone BJP member out of seven wards in MC Thathri that has presently the strength of six members following the death of Congress Ward Member Neek Alam.
Following the no confidence motion, Executive Officer MC Thathri vide No MC/T/2021/591-94 dated 8-11-2021 issued the meeting notice to six ward members Shaheena Begum, Asgar Hussain Khanji, Mansoor Ahmed Butt, Dilshada Begum, Gurukesh Gupta and Munwar Din Butt and requested them to remain present in the meeting.
“This office has received a communication of No Confidence Motion dated 3-11-2021, dully signed by four ward councilors of Municipal committee Thathri calling to convene a special meeting to discuss the No Confidence Motion against Gurukesh Gupta Vice President Municipal Committee Thathri. In this regard I am directed to call a special meeting on 11-11-2021, at 02:00 PM in the office chamber of President Municipal Committee Thathri. Accordingly all the Hon'ble elected ward councilors are requested to attend the meeting on schedule date, time and venue” reads the meeting notice issue by EO MC Thathri.
