| GDC Ramnagar celebrates National Education Day | | | Early Times Report
RAMNAGAR, Nov 11: GDC Ramnagar organized a lecture to commemorate the birth anniversary of country's first Education Minister, Freedom fighter, Scholar and Eminent Educationist Maulana Abul Kalam Azad.
The programme began with the welcome address of the Principal of the College Dr Udhey Bhanu. In his welcome address he threw light upon the role of first education Minister of India for the Women Education besides his other Contributions.
The Resource Person of the program was Dr Mohd Riaz. In his lecture he briefed participants about biographical details of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad and elaborated how he opposed Jinnah's plan and continued to proclaim his faith in Hindu-Muslim Unity. The speaker also threw light on the contributions of Maulana in the field of education. On the occasion, Prof Suresh Kumar Dogra, Prof Harmeet Kour, Prof Brinder Kumar, Prof Swarna, Dr Monica, Dr Hari Singh along with other faculty members and students of the college were present. Prof Ritika Mahajan coordinated the programme and proposed the vote of thanks. |
