| GDC Majalta organizes lecture on drug abuse | | |

JAMMU, Nov 11: Government Degree College (GDC) Majalta in collaboration with Tehsil Legal Services Committee Majalta, today organized a lecture on the theme drug abuse and eradication of drug. Advocate Amit Sharma was the resource person on the occasion who in his keynote address deliberated upon the topic at length.
He quoted so many examples about the abuses of drugs. To him drug menace is spreading like a fire not only the urban but in rural areas also which is spoiling the future of youth of the country. In his address, he discussed various laws related to drug eradication and he also deliberated in detail about the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act 1985 that prohibits a person, the production/manufacturing/cultivation/possession /sale/purchasing/ transport/storage and or consumption of any narcotic drug.
