| AWSC hails framing of maintenance rules for senior citizens | | |  Early Times Report
JAMMU, Nov 11: Association for the Welfare of Senior Citizens (AWSC) expressed its gratitude to the LG for the framing and issuing of notification for implementation of Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Welfare of Senior Citizens Rules-2021.
AWSC said that the LG and Commissioner/Secretary Social Welfare Department took keen interest in framing and issuing the Rules thereby fulfilling one of the long-pending demands projected by the Association from time to time.
The Association organized a "Deepawali Milan" today wherein a good number of its members along with their spouses participated at Trikuta Nagar office. The celebrations included a few rounds of recreational activities of senior citizens like Tambola followed by a display of talent by members by way of singing, poetry recital, storytelling etc., which was well enjoyed and appreciated by the participants. |
