DC Udhampur presides over public grievances redressal camp at GHSS Sewna

UDHAMPUR, Nov 11: Deputy Commissioner Udhampur, Indu Kanwal Chib visited block Sewna to redress the public issues during a public outreach programme held at Government Higher Secondary School Sewna of District Udhampur.
BDC Chairman Sewna, Subash Chander, DDC Councillor, Subash Chander and District Officers of line departments, besides PRIs of concerned Panchayats and general public of the Block also participated in the public outreach programme.
The BDC Chairman Sewna, Subash Chander, DDC Councillor Narsoo, Subash Chander, Sarpanches, Panches and local people of adjoining Panchayats projected several demands and problems being faced by them. They demanded construction of foot bridge over nallah, repair of foot paths, Water leakage of Canal, completion of Panchayat Ghar and CFC building, requirement of additional land for GHSS Sewna, Mobile network problem in Dhar Gadhian, Establishment of sub -centre at Dhar -Gadhian, Construction of water Bowlies, construction of motorable bridge over Kathial Nallah, Inclusion of left out beneficiaries under Ayushman Bharat scheme, shortage of staff in Government Schools, filling of vacant posts in Education and Health department etc.
Responding to the demands, the DC assured the public that all their genuine issues would be addressed in a time bound manner. Directions were issued to the officers to work in coordination so that equitable development of all Panchayats is ensured. The DC redressed many grievances on the spot by passing directions to the concerned officers.
The concerned officers were directed to resolve the genuine demands of the public on priority and submit the detailed report of pending issues, so that the same can be projected to higher authorities for consideration.
The DC informed the participants that the main objective of conducting a public outreach programme is to resolve day to day public issues and to monitor progress and implementation of various initiatives and centrally sponsored schemes. The DC asked the PRIs to work in coordination with the administration for implementation of these welfare schemes on the ground.
Additional District Development Commissioner, Kanta Devi; Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Viqar Giri; SDM Chenani, Parvaiz Naik; CMO, Dr K C Dogra; CAHO, Dr Inderjeet Singh; CHO, Salil Gupta other District and sectoral officers of concerned departments were present on the occasion.
