| GDC Chenani celebrates National Education Day | | | Early Times Report
CHENANI, Nov 11: Govt Degree College (GDC) Chenani under the aegis of its National Service Scheme (NSS) Unit "PRAYATNA", Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) and Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav organized an online essay writing/poster writing/slogan writing contest to celebrate the National Education Day.
The purpose of the programme was to commemorate the birth anniversary of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad, the first education minister of independent India. The teachers of the college expressed their ideas and threw light on the importance of National Education Day. Students of the College showed active participation in the event and prepared posters and slogans. The participants were judged by Dr Muddasir Abdullah, Dept of Education and Dr Rameshwar Singh, Dept of Mathematics. Sunaina Anthal of 3rd semester bagged first position. Anjali Devi of 1st semester secured second position and third position was clinched by Manisha Devi of 1st semester.
Principal of the College, Dr Pragya Khanna appreciated the efforts of all the participants and emphasized the need of organizing such programmes as they enrich the experiences of the academic community at large. |
