JAMMU, Nov 11: An online lecture was organized by Department of Education, Govt Degree College (GDC) RS Pura on the theme "National Education Day" to celebrate the birth anniversary of Maulana Abdul Kalam Azad, a great freedom fighter, an eminent educationist and the first education Minister of India, under the patronage of Principal Prof Sunil Uppal and supervision of Prof Swati, Head of the Department. Dr Shivani Sharma, Assistant Professor, Govt. Degree College Paloura was the resource person. She highlighted the contribution of Maulana Abdul Kalam Azad in the field of Indian education. The event was commenced with welcome address by Prof Sandeep Kumari, Assistant Professor, Department of Education. The event was attended by a large number of students and faculty members of the college. The Principal of the college appreciated the efforts of the department and lauded the students for their active participation in future activities.
