Bovine smuggling bid foiled by Police, 2 arrested | | | Early Times Report KATHUA, Nov 13: In continuation to its drive against Bovine smuggling, Kathua Police has successfully foiled an attempt to smuggle bovine by rescuing 11 bovines after arresting 02 bovine smugglers in the jurisdiction of Police Station Kathua alongwith one vehicle seized. According to Police reports on Nov 12, a Police team led by Insp. Yash Paul Sharma IC PP Industrial Estates Kathua under the supervision of DySP Headquarters Kathua Shammi Kumar JKPS while performing routine vehicle checking duty at NHW Hatli Morh noticed a vehicle (Truck) bearing Reg.No. JK20A-7442 which was being driven by the person namely Shabir Shah S/o Bagh Hussain Shah R/o Chamalvas Tehsil Banihal District Ramban who was alongwith his accomplice namely Muneer Ahmed S/o Saraf Din R/o A/P Bari Brahamna Jammu was signalled to stop for checking. During checking of aforesaid vehicle, 11 Bovines were found loaded in it illegally. Meanwhile,vehicle was seized alongwith two persons were arrested. Thereafter, Police Team was able to rescue 11 bovines on spot. A case under FIR No. 486/2021 U/S 188/IPC,11/PCA Act has been registered at Kathua Police Station and further investigation has been set into motion accordingly. |
