2 killed, 12 injured in Ramban accident | | | Early Times Report
RAMBAN, Nov 13: Two persons were killed while 12 others were critically injured when the vehicle they were travelling fall into deep gorge near Digdole area here this morning. After getting information District Administration, Ramban launched a joint rescue operation along with Civil QRT and district police Ramban. After receiving information, Additional Deputy Commissioner Ramban, Harban Sharma, SSP, P D Nitya, S P Rajni Sharma along with Police, QRT and SDRF teams rushed to the spot. The driver of the ill-fated vehicle Tata Sumo bearing registration number JK03 A 6391 carrying 14 people including three children while coming from Jammu to Banihal lost control and the vehicle fell into deep gorge at Samadhi Morh, Digdole, Ramban. All the injured were shifted to District Hospital Ramban out of which one was brought dead while one succumbed in hospital. After getting first-aid treatment seven critically injured persons referred to Government Medical College and Hospital Jammu for further treatment. As per official statement two persons Gulzar S/o Irfan R/o UP aged 19 yrs and Sameer S/o Tahir R/o UP aged 24/25 years lost their lives whereas other 12 people including Jameela, Nasir Khan, Aikra, Akya, Ara Bano, Soib Khan, Sohil Khan, Manzoor Ahmed, Khaleda Begum, Arif, Ashu and Usman sustained injuries. |
